KEV 81 reports teams in all age groups

The financial gaps are slowly being filled, so that sport comes to the fore again. The youngsters can train in the Yayla Arena from August 9th. Rheinlandhalle and Werner Rittberger Halle should be usable from September 7th.

After grueling and exhausting months, the people in charge of KEV 81 are happy that all teams from U7 to U23 are starting in the league in their intended divisions. Due to a lack of funds – also due to the withdrawal of the penguins – it was questionable whether the KEV can maintain its range of services for the offspring. In the meantime, however, a new premium sponsor has been found that will be presented shortly. The chairman Achim Staudt is relieved: “We are incredibly happy that we now have planning security and can continue on the path successfully taken in recent years. The funding gap has not yet been completely closed, but the great support means that we are optimistic about the season. “This campaign has been well received by ice hockey fans of all ages. We hope that more friends will take part in this campaign. “

At KEV, 220 children and young people play in twelve teams. The youngest are in the running school with Peter Kaczmarek. In addition to Christian Ehrhoff, Daniel Pietta and Martin Schymainski also took their first steps on the ice with him.

From the U7 to the U15, all teams play in the highest classes of the national association. The U17, supervised by coach Sebastian Staudt, will compete in the top league of the German Ice Hockey Federation from September 11th. The U20 in the German Junior League, trained by trainer Robin Beckers, starts a week earlier. On September 26th the U23 starts in the Oberliga-Nord. Because training in the Rheinlandhalle and Werner Rittberger Halle is not possible due to a defect in the ice processing system, the youngsters will begin ice training in the Yayla Arena on August 9th. The other two halls should be ready for use again on September 7th.
