Aida found the rock-like boulder floating in the sea while fishing with her family near the Malaysian Fish Development Agency Pier on Tuesday (14/12/2021) at around 23:00 local time. At first he thought the lump was trash.
“I think it was just garbage floating in the sea and I used a cane to take it to the beach,” said Aida, as reported by Berita Harian.
After a while, Aida returned to the beach where the boulder was out of curiosity. He looked at the shape and the material and was sure that the object he was holding was ambergris.
Without thinking, Aida brought the wax-like lump home to be examined more closely. Aida’s father who is fisherman Experienced says, the lump is ambergris. He even burned some chunks and after that smelled the fragrance.
