Traffic on the A6 from the north towards Lelystad will have to make a detour this weekend because the Ketelbrug is closed. The highway and parallel road towards Lelystad will close on Friday evening at 9 p.m. due to work. The closure applies to the entire road section between the Urk/Nagele exit and the Lelystad-Noord slip road.
According to Rijkswaterstaat, the road will reopen no later than Monday morning at 5:00 am. Traffic from Lelystad to the north will be able to drive via the Ketelbrug during the work. The parallel road over the bridge is also closed.
During the closure, the asphalt will be renewed and new lines will be applied to the road. Road users are diverted via the Emmeloord junction, the N50 over Kampen and the N307 over Dronten. Traffic can then rejoin the A6 at the Lelystad-Noord slip road.
In the weekend from Friday 9 to Monday 12 June, the Ketelbrug will be closed in the other direction of travel.
