Popular singer Kesha surprised attendees at Coachella 2024 when she joined Reneè Rapp’s set as a surprise guest. During the performance, the duo sang Kesha’s 2009 hit “Tik Tok” but with altered lyrics, replacing “wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy” with “wake up in the morning like f—k P. Diddy”.

Video footage of Kesha and Reneè Rapp flipping off the crowd quickly went viral on X, sparking excitement among fans. Social media users expressed their enthusiasm for Kesha’s return to the stage, calling it a much-needed comeback in 2024.

Kesha’s decision to change the lyrics to “Tik Tok” and target Sean “Diddy” Combs is not the first time she has expressed her disdain for the rapper. In a previous performance, Kesha removed Combs’ name from the song, singing “wake up in the morning feeling just like me” instead.

These changes follow allegations of sex trafficking and harassment made against Diddy by his former employee, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Jones claimed that Combs openly boasted about paying three women a “monthly stipend” for their involvement in sex work.

Combs’ lawyer, Shawn Holley, dismissed the lawsuit as a baseless attempt to gain attention, stating that they have substantial evidence to prove the allegations false. In addition to ongoing legal issues, Diddy recently faced two high-profile raids by Homeland Security in connection to a sex trafficking investigation.

Kesha’s defiance towards Diddy is reminiscent of her previous battle with music producer Dr. Luke. In 2014, Kesha accused Dr. Luke of sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, which she claimed nearly cost her life. Dr. Luke denied all the allegations.
