President Director of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS) Akbar Djohan said the idea was possible because besides having a large capacity, airport access is also supported by two large infrastructures in West Java.
The infrastructure includes Patimban Port in Subang, West Java and access to the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road which will connect the cities of Bandung and Kertajati.
“I provide input to the Governor of West Java in order to accelerate the operation of West Java International Airport by making Kertajati Airport become e-commerce hub in Indonesia, “said Akbar in a written statement in Jakarta, Thursday (22/4/2021).

“With the current government’s commitment to support the national logistic ecosystem, it is the driving force for Kertajati Airport to capture and provide added value by implementing the digital free trade zone, which will provide regulatory implications and service bureaucracy and provide certainty for the export-import process in an integrated and integrated manner. seamless services, “he said.
Akbar added that Kertajati Airport is also located in an area not far from industrial areas which are spread from Cikarang, Bekasi, to Karawang. As well as adjacent to Cirebon and Indramayu which are famous for having various handicrafts with exports.
This further supports Kertajati Airport to function as a logistics center e-commerce.
