Kern meeting on labor market reform still ongoing

(Belga) The Select Ministerial Committee bringing together the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Ministers on the reform of the labor market was still in progress around 1:30 am, on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

On the kern table: proposals concerning, among other things, evening work in e-commerce, the right to disconnect, the four-day week and the right to training. The main sticking point remains the status of employees in the platform economy, such as Deliveroo and Uber. Last Friday, the government failed to conclude the consultation. The main Vivaldi ministers met again this Monday at 6:30 p.m. Today’s meeting was preceded by technical discussions. It is not certain that an agreement can still be reached during the night.
