As a preview of the European Heritage Days, the former Laennec hospital opened its doors, inviting visitors to discover the singularity of its architecture and the richness of its history, which led the Kering group to commit to the ambitious rehabilitation of the site by establishing its headquarters there in 2016.
“This place reflects the group that we are, a group on the move which embodies audacious luxury, free to make its choices,” said François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering. This year again, in the chapel, “we offer an exceptional journey through the approaches and artists of the Collection that my father has been building for more than five decades”. Indeed, attached to the heritage of past centuries and “amazed by the creative force of artists”, François Pinault sees in these “transmitters of emotion” revealers of “unsuspected dimensions of our realities”.
At the same time, 59 Balenciaga silhouettes traced the characteristic codes of this house’s elegant creations, in an unexpected and fascinating dialogue, creating harmony between the past, present and future of the collections.
