Central Meteorological Department informs that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places in Kerala today and tomorrow.

Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the state. Accordingly, an orange alert has been announced in Ernakulam district today. Yellow alert has also been announced in nine districts.

Yellow alert has been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod districts.

115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain is forecast in 24 hours.

At the same time, a depression formed over the Middle East Arabian Sea. Strong north-easterly/easterly winds from Bay of Bengal over south-east India.

As a result of this, there is a possibility of widespread rain in Kerala for the next 2-3 days. Central Meteorological Department informs that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places in Kerala today and tomorrow.
