Kerala Latest Weather Updates: Heavy rains in the state today; Yellow warning in four areas; Storm warning

The Central Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the state today. No warning has been issued in any area for the next two days. Meanwhile, a yellow alert was announced in several areas on Friday and Saturday. Light rain with thunder and lightning is expected at isolated places.

The Central Meteorological Department has advised that light rain is likely at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram district during the next 3 hours (announced at 1 pm).

A cyclonic gyre is located over the Straits of Mannar and Sri Lanka. Another cyclonic gyre is in the central part of the southern Bay of Bengal. There is a cyclonic vortex in the middle of the southern part of the Arabian Sea. Kerala is likely to experience light/moderate rain with thunder and lightning for the next 5 days.
