Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government’s special representative in Delhi, K.V. In the cabinet meeting, it was decided to grant an honorarium of one lakh rupees per month to Thomas instead of salary and allowances. The cabinet meeting also approved the appointment of two assistants, one office attendant and one driver.

Earlier, the finance department had suggested to pay one lakh rupees as honorarium to KV Thomas. The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday took the final decision in this regard.

Those who get re-appointment will get the pensionable amount as salary. This rule does not apply to Thomas as he is honorary. MP He can still collect his pension. Thomas had informed the government that instead of salary, it is enough to pay as honorarium. After leaving the Congress and joining the CPM side, he was appointed as the Special Representative of Kerala in Delhi.
