The Kerala Blasters’ smashing performance in the ISL again silenced the critics. The team, which drew with the mighty Goa, also moved up to seventh in the points table. Goa took the lead through a goal by superstar Ortiz Mendoza. They took the lead in the first half with a goal in the 25th minute.
The Blasters made progress from the start but were unable to score. Bakari Kone scored at the end of the first half but the referee ruled it a handball. The Blasters equalized in the 57th minute of the second half. The glittering form of the Malayalee player gives great hope to the team.
Ivan Garrido Gonzalez received a red card in the 65th minute. The Blasters could have finished fifth if they had beaten Goa. Kibu Vikuna’s team is now looking forward to a promising performance.
