Kerala Blasters’ Fine Appeal Rejected by AIFF

New Delhi: Kerala Blasters suffered another setback in the ISL playoff against Bengaluru FC. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has rejected the appeal against a fine of Rs 4 crore for breach of discipline. The AIFF appeal committee also rejected the appeal filed by coach Ivan Vukumanovic against the fine of five lakh rupees and ban from 10 matches. The Appellate Committee upheld the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and ordered payment of the fine within two weeks.

The appeal committee stated that the coach will be banned from the dressing room and team bench of any team for the next 10 matches. Blasters wanted the punishment to be reduced to a small amount. In the match against Bengaluru FC in Bengaluru on March 3, Blasters withdrew from the game in extra time. Sunil Chhetri’s goal was alleged to be illegal.
