Kochi: Kerala Blasters FC will travel to the UAE next month as the final stage of preparations for the 10th season of the Indian Super League. The Blasters have an 11-day training camp from September 5 to 16. Blasters will play three friendlies against UAE Pro-League clubs.
Blasters’ first friendly match will be against Al Wasl FC at Zabeel Stadium on September 9. They will face Sharjah Football Club on September 12 at the Sharjah Football Stadium. The match against Al Ahli is on September 15. Al Ahly are last year’s Pro League champions.
Hassan Ali Ibrahim Al Balushi, Chairman of H16 Sports, said that it is a pleasure to host the Kerala Blasters pre-season. It marks a new chapter of Indo-Arab football. The Chairman of H16 Sports also expressed his best wishes for Hala Blasters 2023.
Kerala Blasters FC spotting director Karolis Skinkis said that the training facilities were good last season. Blasters officials also stated that they want to work with H16 again this year.
Blasters had completed their one-month pre-season training in Kochi. Blasters will leave for UAE after Durant Cup. The new edition of ISL will start on September 22.
