Thiruvananthapuram: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kerala today to mark the start of his election campaign, the hashtag ‘Po Mone Modi’ has been trending on Twitter. Along with the hashtags ‘Go Back Modi’ and ‘Go Back Sadist Modi’, the Malayalam hashtag also topped the training list.
Twitter users are protesting against Modi through cartoons and memes. Along with Malayalees, Tamil Nadu people are also tweeting with the same hashtag. Though separated by the Western Ghats, Tamils and Malayalees are rallying on social media in protest against Modi. There are many posts highlighting this.
The campaign against Modi is being waged on the issues of economic collapse, unemployment, farmers’ strike and rising fuel prices. Modi will arrive in Kerala after attending events in Tamil Nadu.
The hashtag ‘Go Back Modi’ was trending on Twitter ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to Madurai on January 26. Modi arrived for the groundbreaking ceremony of the AIIMS .As usual, protests erupted ahead of Modi’s visit.
The Prime Minister will arrive at the Kochi Naval Airport on Sunday at 2.45 pm after attending events in Chennai. The Prime Minister will arrive in Kochi on Sunday for the inauguration of BPCL’s new metro chemical plant. Modi will attend five official functions and a BJP core committee meeting.
