Kepa Arrizabalaga was left out of the position of main goalkeeper Chelsea. Now, Kepa has stood up and shown his tenacity to become the number one goalkeeper of the Blues.
Kepa arrived at Chelsea with a € 80 million card in 2018. This figure makes him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.
However, Kepa’s performance was then inconsistent. His position as Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper was later replaced by Edoardo Mendi in the last two seasons.

This season, Mendy got injured and started making frequent mistakes. Kepa therefore made good use of the momentum plus the arrival Graham Potter which also changed his fate.
Kepa has always featured in all six of Chelsea’s games with the Potters. The Spanish goalkeeper responded to Potter’s confidence with an impressive performance, as he showed last time in the match against Aston Villa.
Potter is struck by Kepa’s resurrection. However, Potter was unable to confirm who will be Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper.
“I always thought it was best to let football decide, and Kepa is doing really well,” Potter said Sky Sport.
“He has great support from Edou. Kepa’s performance really made everyone happy, especially him.”
“There is competition in that position which is good. That’s how everyone gets better,” said Graham Potter.
