Shirai is scheduled to complete the Nippon Sport Science University Graduate School this spring. After that, as an assistant professor at Nippon Sport Science University, he will continue practicing at the same Nippon Sport Science University Kenshidai campus. When I was interviewed on January 5, he said, “I think gymnastics will be the main activity for the time being” after graduating from graduate school.
The next round is scheduled to be the All Japan Championship in April, which also serves as the selection for the Tokyo Olympics. As of January, he said, “Practice and physical condition are getting better. I’m really looking forward to the next all-Japan spiritually from last year’s all-Japan.”
