[シドニー 18日 ロイター] – US Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy said on the 18th that her cousin, Robert Kennedy Jr., who was nominated by President-elect Trump to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, said that his views on “dangerous” vaccines.
Speaking at the National Press Club in Canberra, Caroline said that the condition of Robert Kennedy Jr. going against the views of most Americans, including the Kennedy family.
“I grew up with it so I’ve known these things for a long time, but other people are just getting to know it.
“Our family is united in our support of the public health sector and infrastructure, and we have great respect for the American medical profession,” he said.
Robert Kennedy Jr. has said he wants to tackle the “chronic disease” like obesity, diabetes and autism. However, he has been criticized by experts for making medically false claims that vaccines are linked to autism.
Caroline, who is about to retire, admitted that Australia and the Indo-Pacific region will remain important to the United States regardless of who becomes president.
“The United States has been committed for decades. That will not change, and our interests will not change.”
He also said that the United States would have a female president in his lifetime, but refused to say whether he was referring to it.
