There has been a lot of talk in recent days about the overcrowding of the Chelsea dressing room, where Enzo Maresca has left out more than a dozen players from the squad, including some as renowned as Sterling, Lukaku or Reece James. However, the sporting management is looking for some more reinforcements for the attacking edge before the transfer window closes and we must not forget three of the great jewels of South American football who will arrive when they reach the age of majority: Kendy Páez, Estêvão and Anselmino (at 19 years old he will remain on loan at his club this season).
Several youngsters have arrived at Chelsea in recent months and few have managed to make a place for themselves in the squad. Several of them have gone out on loan and others remain in the team to get minutes in the reserve team or on the bench on rare occasions: Andrey Santos, Ângelo or Deivid Washington are three clear examples who have arrived from Brazil and who can worry other trees on the way such as Páez (Independiente del Valle), Estêvão (Palmeiras) and Anselmino (Boca Juniors).
No one can doubt that both the Ecuadorian and the Brazilian from Verdao are aiming very high and are already key players in their clubs and in the case of Páez even in the Ecuadorian national team. In addition, both are having an outstanding present despite some difficulties also typical of youth.
Kendy Páez
The Ecuadorian international received strong criticism in his country for his role in the Copa América, where the best was expected of him and he was far from being as decisive as the fans had dreamed. He arrived physically exhausted to the event and his first big match at the national team level did not end in the best way. Now Páez has recharged his batteries and in the resumption of the national championship he has scored two goals in the first three games. Although Independiente del Valle only has three points, he dazzles with his wide repertoire in three quarters of the field.
Stephen
The Palmeiras winger has suffered two injuries in recent weeks that have prevented him from playing in some very important matches for his team in which the results have been totally disappointing. He already played a few minutes in the Copa Libertadores tie against Botafogo and this Sunday he returned to the starting line-up against Sao Paulo. And, with some luck, he was the one in charge of assisting the first of the goals scored by López. In addition, he made some exceptional individual moves with the boot stuck to his feet.

The Boca centre-back is the most veteran of these three talents and at 19 years old he could already leave for Chelsea. However, the parties decided that he should remain at his training club on loan to gain experience. And he seems willing to make the most of his opportunities. He is not yet a starter for Diego Martínez but this Sunday, in a team full of substitutes, he appeared in the starting eleven and gave a memorable performance. He added two assists, seven ball recoveries, six duels won and had 15 successful defensive actions. He is asking for his place in the team to arrive in London as an important figure.
