This is because HIV-AIDS has yet to be cured by medical means.

On the other hand, continued Muntoha, the findings of HIV-AIDS cases in Kendal Regency are currently still quite high.

For HIV alone, data on the population infected with HIV in 2019 reached 80 people, in 2020 there were 57 people, and in 2021 there were 50 people.

Meanwhile, the Health Office recorded 57 people infected with AIDS in 2019, 50 people in 2020, and 46 people throughout 2021.

“The finding of HIV-AIDS in Kendal is still quite high. Cumulatively, there are 1,229 HIV-AIDS cases from 2000 to 2021,” he explained, Monday (12/20/2021).

In order to commemorate World AIDS Day in December 2021, said Muntoha, the Health Service will conduct a VCT test (HIV test) at the former Gambilangu localization and entertainment venues.

In addition, socialization of HIV-AIDS prevention among productive age groups was also carried out, as well as the establishment of Aids Care Village.
