Ken Spears passed away, spiritual owner of cartoon dog Scooby-Doo

Together with Joe Ruby, who died barely three months ago Ken Spears the characters from the animated series “Scooby-Doo”. First of all, the big not-so-brave Great Dane himself and also his teenage friends Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Daphne, who together solve all kinds of mysteries. The first show was called “Scooby-Doo, where are you!” and dates back to 1969.

Spears and Ruby both worked as sound engineers and writers for the famous cartoon studio Hanna-Barbera, also known for Tom & Jerry and The Flintstones. The artist for Scooby-Doo and the friends was the American Japanese Iwao Takamoto.
