“Runway <a href="https://www.world-today-news.com/members-of-citizens-group-opposing-national-funeral-gather-and-march-in-osaka-nhk-national-funeral/" title="Members of Citizens' Group Opposing "National Funeral" Gather and March in Osaka | NHK | national funeral”>Midosuji” is held on Midosuji, Osaka’s most representative boulevard. This year’s event will take place on November 3, and all the performers and contents have been announced.
This year, with the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo just around the corner, we will spread Osaka’s appeal both domestically and internationally through a variety of content under the theme “OPENUP!” This year, the “Content District” will run from the Midosuji Yodoyabashi intersection to the Senba Chuo 3 intersection, and the “exhibition/PR district” will run from the Midosuji Kyutarocho 3 intersection to the Shinbashi intersection, expanding the distance from previous years.

In the “Content Area”, Kobukuro will appear on the Midosuji Runway and perform a special live performance. Myakumyaku, the character from the Osaka/Kansai Expo, also appeared, and a wide variety of dancers performed the “Kono Earth Dance” to the theme song of the Osaka/Kansai Expo, “Kono Hoshi no Tsuzuki wo. In addition, friends of Disney who flew in from Tokyo Disney Resort will participate in the parade with the children to the tune of “Jamboli Mickey!”
In addition, on “THE Festival Runway”, festivals from all over Japan will gather on Midosuji, and Ken Matsudaira will perform “Matsuken Samba Midosuji Special Remix”. On the approximately 1.1km fashion runway, which is unlike any other in the world, JO1 member Kumiko Ogura will be a guest model, and she will walk alongside around 70 other models wearing recycled products from recycled materials by a designer from Osaka. Afterwards, there will be a special performance by JO1.
Kenneth MatsudairaIn the “Exhibition / PR Area”, Duffy buses, classic cars, and interesting cars will bring life to Midosuji, and Koji Imada will also be the main guest this year.
“Midosuji Runway 2024” will be held on November 3, rain or shine. Program details and other details will be announced later. On that day, traffic will be restricted from around 11:30 noon from the Midosuji Yodoyabashi intersection to the Shinbashi intersection.
