Overwhelming willingness to help Ukraine
The Darmstadt 98 fans, who have been organizing an aid transport for people in need in Ukraine for days, were overwhelmed by the great willingness to help. “Words fail us. The great sympathy with the fate of all fellow human beings in Ukraine is clearly noticeable,” it said in a statement. The vehicles for the transport to Ukraine are already completely full. The organizers of the aid transport therefore pointed out to the fans on Friday before the game against Heidenheim that no further donations in kind were needed at the stadium. The first transport will already start at the weekend. Monetary donations, in this case for Doctors Without Borders, would still be collected before the game.
