Kemba Walker and Brad Stevens had a strained relationship

This week saw a major change in the NBA, when Boston sent Kemba Walker, the 16th pick in the 2021 draft and a second-round pick in 2025, in exchange for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a second-round pick in the 2023 draft.

Now a report by Jared Weiss from The Athletic medium revealed that the relationship between Walker and Stevens was quite tense, since the player apparently felt that the coach was more demanding with him than with other members of the roster and it was also revealed that when point guard did not like several boos he received from the fans.

Walker averaged 19.9 points, 4.8 assists and 37.2% shooting from three points in his two seasons with the Celtics. Knee injuries limited him in his time in Boston and he could not show the same level that he had in his time in Charlotte.
