Kellyanne Conway leaves the White House. She was one of Trump’s closest associates

Kellyanne Conway, one of President Donald Trump’s closest associates, announced on Sunday that she is leaving the White House at the end of August. She cited family reasons as the reason.

Conway led Trump’s election campaign during the 2016 election. She was the first woman to hold this position to lead a victorious campaign for the highest position in the state. Later, she joined the strict circle of the president’s closest advisers.

She had already informed the president about her decision in a letter sent on Sunday evening. The reason she cited was the need to spend more time with her four children.

Despite leaving the White House, Conway announced that she would be giving a speech at the Republican convention starting on Monday.

Her husband George is also a Republican, but at the same time a staunch opponent of the current president. He was even part of an initiative called the Lincoln Project to defeat Trump.
