The violence continues unabated on the streets of the city and the hitmen have left their trail of blood, death and pain in the Boston neighborhood for the second time in less than 24 hours.
The latest victim is the young Keyner Díaz Vitola, 25 years old, who was shot at point-blank range and without saying a word while he was walking along a street next to the Perimetral Highway.
The body of Keyner Díaz Vitola has already been taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine. Forensic experts are awaiting the arrival of the victim’s relatives.

Keyner was shot more than four times, most of them in the head, and although police officers who quickly arrived at the scene of the events took him to a medical center, their efforts were in vain. These dramatic scenes were recorded in videos captured by cell phones and circulating on social networks.
The Metropolitan Police Command informed Keyner that he had a judicial record in the Accusatory Oral Criminal System (SPOA) for the crime of manufacturing, carrying and trafficking narcotics in 2023.
In a quick reaction, and in the midst of an intense chase through several streets of Boston, the Police captured two people who allegedly participated in this bloody incident. Those identified as hitmen were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office and are awaiting preliminary hearings to determine their legal situation.
With these two new arrests, according to Colonel Gelver Yecid Peña Araque, Police Commander in Cartagena, there are 93 people arrested this year in the city for the crime of homicide.

On Sunday, August 25, hitmen murdered Harold Vitola Acosta in the La Candelaria neighborhood, Omaira Sánchez sector, at around 4 p.m.
These two cases in Boston bring the number of homicides so far in August to 42, 19 of which occurred on Saturday the 17th and the night of Monday the 26th.
Just 24 hours earlier, on Sunday, August 25, there were three homicides in the city. After the murder of Harold Vitola Acosta in the La Candelaria neighborhood, Omaira Sánchez sector, at around 4 pm, hitmen on motorcycles murdered Andrés David Mercado Olivares and Juan David Tapia Almeira, 27 and 21 years old, respectively, in the same way.
