At the border with France, federal police officers arrested a wanted criminal yesterday afternoon. There were several arrest warrants against the 63-year-old Romanian who was checked at the Kehler Europabrücke.

He was wanted three times due to unpaid fines and an additional warrant for bodily harm. In addition, two other public prosecutor’s offices were looking for him for driving without a license. By paying the fines, he was able to avert seven days of coercive detention and nine days of replacement imprisonment.
