“Due to its good indicators, the entity stands out at the national level in terms of security, and that achievement is the result of the combined efforts of all sectors of society,” he said.

By considering this item as one of the main axes of his Government, Riquelme Solís guaranteed that despite the severe budget cuts applied by the Federal Government for this year,

“Here in Coahuila we are not waiting for what they will label us. We know what it takes and we will not stop. More than 1,400 million pesos invested Coahuila last year in security “.

The governor expressed that to maintain these conditions, this year it will continue with the same line and it is projected to invest around 1,200 million pesos for the same line, plus whatever accumulates:

“Because things are coming out, like for example last year we had to replace the patrols that were destroyed in the confrontation in Villa Unión. We also support the municipalities that were decidedly with us in that event “.

In this context, Governor Miguel Riquelme highlighted what has been a model of success for the entity, recognized even at the national level, such as coordination with the Mexican Army, the National Guard and other police corporations.

“In the same way, the alliance with the business sector – which has done its thing in this task – has been essential to achieve the positive safety rates that Coahuila has today.”

Last week, the state president delivered 30 modern police units for state corporations, with a value of 22 million pesos, and in this context he referred to the permanent support he provides to the municipalities, to which since the beginning of his government to date It has meant having 300 new patrols, within a one-to-one contribution scheme, and the investment amount has been 100 percent state resources.

In addition, he presided over the graduation of 150 new cadets who join the state police forces.

He highlighted the value of the police officers, the efforts that have been made in his Government so that they are better paid, and the tactical equipment with which they have been equipped.

He said that in a few days they will be sent high-caliber weapons and that the video-intelligence system is now one of the most effective tools of the State.

The Governor pointed out that in Coahuila the guarantee of the rule of law is ensured, and stressed that the formula is good police elements, coordination and “closing the circle of procurement and administration of justice with the Judicial Power with respect to the human rights is what Coahuila has stood out from other states ”.
