Jakarta (ANTARA) – The excitement of using social media, such as Twitter, often makes users careless in maintaining their privacy and security.
The platform has a number of security features that users can take advantage of. Here are six ways that can be used to maintain account security, quoted from a press release, Saturday.
1. A unique password
A strong password can be at least 10 characters long, consisting of a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. We recommend using one password for one account.
If you have multiple accounts online, consider using software to manage passwords.
2. Layered security
Two-factor authentication (two-factor authentication or often called 2FA) can be enabled to ensure that only the rightful owner has access to a Twitter account.
Starting in late June, Twitter provided the option of using a physical security key, which functions like a house key, as the only 2FA on the platform.
