What Keanu Reeves concerns, is The Matrix Resurrections the last time we are going to enter the famous science fiction franchise.
While there were reports that the fourth installment was supposed to revive the series and launch a brand new trilogy, lead actor Reeves (returning as Neo) thinks it won’t be, aside from the very weak commercial reception among fans:
“I don’t believe it. If I had to cast a vote. No, not a vote. I’d say Lana wouldn’t do another Matrix”.
Not everyone thinks that way
opponent Carrie-Anne Moss, who returns as Trinity, however, has very different ideas, saying: “Yeah, that’s what we thought about this one too”.
Moss is, of course, absolutely right. After all these years, no one had counted on a ‘Matrix’ part at all. Reeves does indicate that he is open to everything as long as Lana Wachowski remains at the helm.
