‘KDF Concert’, Dance + Ballad + Trot ‘K-Pop Special Festival’ ends successfully

‘KDF Concert’ completed a special festival.
The Korea Drama Festival Organizing Committee held the ‘KDF Concert’ at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 13th.
‘KDF Concert’ is an event of the ‘2024 Korea Drama Festival’ where K-pop stars and fans enjoy various genres together. Groups DKZ (Decage), Seven Earth, Lula, singers Wax, Chae Soo-hyun, and Park Hyun-ho appeared, creating a unique K-pop concert.
DKZ opened the ‘KDF Concert’. DKZ passionately sang ‘Love Thief’, ‘Universe’, ‘We’re together’, and ‘Like a Movie’ in that order. The stages containing DKZ’s unique wit and narrative were enough to receive cheers from the ‘KDF Concert’ audience.
Seven Earth’s subsequent stages also captured the attention of viewers. Seven Earth is attracting attention for its sweet voice and outstanding dancing skills. At the ‘KDF Concert’, they performed ‘Satellite’, ‘Mirror’, ‘Pretty good’, and ‘Want You Back’, making the audience fall into ‘Seven Earth Holic’.
The stage of ‘Trot Queen’ Chae Soo-hyun and Park Hyun-ho, a trot star from the boy group Topp Dogg, was both moving and exciting. Chae Soo-hyun performed ‘Soya Song of Memories’, ‘Hongrang’, ‘Assassin’, and ‘Bouquet’. In particular, ‘Soya Song of Memories’ was a song known through ‘Miss Trot 3’ and received a lot of attention from the audience. Park Hyun-ho’s ‘Flower Wind’, ‘Love Silently’, ‘1, 2, 3 go!’ After a variety of stages, they even sang a trot medley, providing unique fun.
Wax and Lula left a deep lasting impression as befitting ‘legendary singers’. Wax touched the hearts of the audience with ‘hit ballads’ such as ‘Correcting Makeup’ and ‘Threshold of Dusk’, and then changed the mood with ‘Oppa’ and ‘Money’, receiving a positive response from the audience. Before singing the last song, ‘Please’, Wax said, “Thank you for having a happy time with me today. I will take away a wonderful memory.”
Lula captured the attention of the 90s with ‘3! They heated up the ‘KDF Concert’ with performances such as ‘4’, ‘How to Love’, and ‘No Secrets’. Afterwards, they continued with the performances of ‘Prayer’ and ‘Lovers’ and ended the ‘KDF Concert’ with a splendid ending with ‘Angel Who Lost Wings’. In particular, on this day, Lula said, “This year is the 30th anniversary. We were able to endure it because you still love us,” and “I enjoyed the ‘2024 Korea Drama Festival’ and let’s meet again next year.”
‘KDF Concert’ captivated everyone from the middle-aged to the new generation with songs of various genres, including dance music, ballads, and trot. While there are still valuable programs of the ‘2024 Korea Drama Festival’ remaining, such as ‘KDF Invitation’ from the 15th to the 18th (special stage in Namgangdunchi, Jinju) and ‘Short Form Drama Festival’ (Jinju Knowledge Industry Center) on the 20th, ‘2024 Korea Drama’ The public’s interest in the ‘festival’ is increasing day by day.
The ‘2024 Korea Drama Festival’ was hosted by the Korea Drama Festival Organizing Committee and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jinju City. It is an event to seek the development of the broadcast video industry and the continued growth of Korean dramas, and marks its 15th anniversary this year.
