KCIC Denies Alleged Leak on Whoosh Fast Train Amid Heavy Rain – Full Explanation

A video circulated regarding an alleged leak on the Whoosh fast train due to heavy rain on Friday 12 April 2024. GM Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Eva Chairunisa explained that there was no leak on the Whoosh fast train.

“We hereby convey that there are no leaks on the Whoosh fast train. The water that entered the train as seen in the video circulating was caused by rain water leaking accompanied by strong winds,” he said in his statement, Friday (12/4/ 2024).

He explained that at the time of the incident at Tegalluar Station, there was one train that was serving the passenger boarding process, namely the G 1234 train. The conditions affected by rain water were on train 1 and train 6.

The conditions that occurred at that time were the weather in the Tegalluar station platform area in conditions of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, along with the rain accompanied by the wind, the departure process was underway which required all the train doors to be open so that the rainwater carried by the strong winds headed into the train through the doors. open car.

At the time of the incident, officers immediately dried all areas affected by rainwater. Within 5 minutes, the condition of trains 1 and 6 which were affected by rainwater had returned to its original dryness.

“KCIC apologizes for the inconvenience experienced by Whoosh passengers with train number G 1234, Tegalluar-Halim, departing at 14.00 WIB. An apology for the inconvenience has also been conveyed directly by the conductor to all passengers during the journey,” he explained.
