– KBS made a stance on the fans’ petition for the smooth broadcast activity of Kim Jun-soo from the group JYJ.
Recently, petitions for Kim Joon-soo’s appearance on the KBS music program were posted in the KBS Viewers’ Rights Center.
Among them, the two petitions titled “I want to see singer Kim Junsu’s stage on the air” and “Please guarantee a fair chance to appear on the broadcast” met the condition of agreement with more than 1,000 people within a month, and KBS’s official response was obtained.
One petition, “Junsu Kim (XIA), who made a comeback with the mini album’Pit A Pat’ on November 10th, is requesting to appear on the KBS music broadcast.” “Kim Junsu has been releasing numerous albums since May 2012. “But I have never seen him on a music show.”
Petitioner added, “In the meantime, after hearing the news that Junsu Kim will come back in 4 years, I requested for Kim Junsu through the Music Bank viewer bulletin board from the end of October to the 20th, but I could not see the video of Junsu Kim in the program comeback teaser video.” .
He said, “I received an official response from the production crew that the reason I couldn’t appear on KBS in 2011 is because of a lawsuit,” he said. “7 years have passed since the litigation ended. I think there is no reason not to appear.”
In this regard, CP (general producer) Kim Kwang-soo, chief producer of Music Bank said, “Music Bank is a program that ranks and announces weekly music sources, album sales, number of broadcasts, viewer preferences, etc.” “We are in the process of recruiting among singers who wish to be active, and we cannot reveal whether or not to appear for a singer who has not disclosed his intention to work.”
CP Kim continued, “It is difficult to explain why we are not recruiting a specific artist for some reason. The recruitment of Music Bank inevitably has the characteristics of selection and exclusion at the same time.”
He added, “I know that there is no broadcaster explaining the reason for not casting because if you explain the reason for the inevitably excluded, the artist or the fans can accept it as disparaging.”
Junsu Kim had an exclusive contract dispute with SM Entertainment in 2009, when he was a member of JYJ. At the end of 2012, SM and JYJ agreed to terminate all contracts concluded between the two sides due to court mediation as of the time of the dispute and not interfere with each other’s activities, but JYJ was unable to appear on music programs or year-end music awards before and after the litigation. I have been limited in my activities
