PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk and PT Indika Energy are collaborating in the development of the electric vehicles (EV) ecosystem in Indonesia.
KB Bukopin Main Director Woo Yeul Lee said this collaboration aims to support Indonesia in encouraging sustainable transportation and to further enhance the country’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint through ESG Financing.
With this collaboration, KB Bukopin will provide financial support to Indika Energy regarding electric vehicles and their ecosystem.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Indika Energy, which demonstrates KB Bukopin’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s transition towards sustainable transportation and the ESG commitment of our controlling shareholder, namely KB Kookmin Bank,” said Lee in a press release, Saturday (13/5/ 2023).
He revealed that this collaboration is expected to support the electric vehicle ecosystem and encourage a greener future for Indonesia.

Indika Energy Vice President and Group CEO Azis Armand explained that the partnership with KB Bukopin will enable the company to enhance the company’s electric vehicle ecosystem to accelerate the transition towards sustainable transportation in Indonesia.
“We believe that this collaboration will contribute to Indonesia’s future as an effort to reduce its carbon footprint and support its economic development,” he explained.
According to him, financing from banks can provide a significant boost to the electric vehicle industry. With easier access to financing, electric vehicle manufacturers can increase production and sales.
This leads to the continued growth of electric vehicles, driving technological innovation and creating new jobs in the sector.
