Kazakhstan adheres to the UN Charter and international law when conducting foreign policy. This is how the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country responded to the outrage of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko for the unfair treatment of Russia.

“Kazakhstan pursues a fair and peaceful foreign policy in accordance with the UN Charter and the basic standards of international law. Our country is firmly convinced that all disagreements between states should be resolved through political and diplomatic means,” transmitting MFA words from Deputy Minister Murat Nurtleu from a meeting with the ambassador of Belarus.

The department’s statement came after criticism from the President of Belarus in defense of Russia. Lukashenko criticized the unequal relationship between the countries. “They want to take something from Russia, but not give anything back. It doesn’t work that way. Let’s be together! This time is not long when you come to the same Russia and ask for support and help,” the Belarusian president said earlier.

Lukashenko emphasized that when “something happened in Kazakhstan,” it was Belarus and the Russian Federation that received requests for help. The President of the Republic of Belarus warned that a situation will arise one day where requests will be sent again to Moscow and Minsk, but “no one will come to your aid.”

Earlier, Lukashenko warned Belarusians about the need to prepare for a change of president in the country. He made this statement when he answered a question about the upcoming elections for the head of the Republic of Belarus.
