Kazakhstan plans to deliver 100,000 tons of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in August. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, commenting on the situation with the shutdown of a branch of “Druzhba” due to depressurization of a section in Poland.

“In August of this year, it is planned to transport oil in the direction of the oil supply point (PSN) “Samara” for its further delivery in the direction of PSN “Adamova Zastava” Germany from the resources of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating CJSC in the amount of 100 000 tons was issued an order for acceptance and delivery at the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Russian Federation on July 31, 2023,” the announcement said.

According to the agency, in the period from August 3 to 5, Bolshoi Chagan received 11,600 tons, the rest will be received from August 6 to 29. “The transport in the direction of PSN “Samara” is planned to be carried out from August 25 to 29 of this year. The delivery in the direction of PSN Adamova Zastava is expected in the last days of August 2023, approximately in the period from August 28 to 30,” the ministry explained.

On August 6, the operator of the Polish section of the Druzhba oil pipeline PERN announced that one of the two branches of the oil pipeline in the direction of Germany was interrupted due to a leak in the section in Poland. At the same time, it was noted that the second branch of the oil pipeline is functioning without changes, there is no threat to the life and health of local residents.

Earlier, Kazakhstan agreed with the Russian side on the transit of Kazakh oil to Germany for 2023 through the Druzhba oil pipeline in the amount of 1.2 million tons.
