Saturday, May 12, the main activity was kayaking. The objective was to put 2,024 paddles in the water between Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire and Châteauneuf-sur-Loire.
A champion on the water with amateur kayakers
Despite the efforts and all the good humor deployed by the Loiret canoe-kayak committee, we haven’t seen as many. But the hundreds of participants had a good time (between two and two and a half hours of navigation) and an afternoon group had the pleasure of finding on the water Lucie Baudu, a kayaker still licensed in Saran, several times medalist at the European team championships in slalom (canoe or kayak), who still has the hope of being selected for the 2024 Olympics.
Châteauneuf land of Games
In Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, transformed for the weekend into a “land of games”, a good number of sports committees have come to present their discipline. The audience was primarily family. Many children were able to discover new activities such as biathlon (in a revised version), fencing, weightlifting…
These stands will still be present today. A good exit opportunity.
