Kawasaki W175 Street using alloy rims launched, price IDR 25.2 million

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Kawasaki in India, the W175 Street has finally been officially launched, the W175 model which uses crossbar or alloy rims and tubeless tires.

Quoted from Autocar India, the W175 Street is one of the affordable motorbikes there. In fact, the W175 Street is IDR 2.2 million cheaper than the standard one, even though it has additional features.

The biggest change is in the rims of course and it also uses tubeless tires. The tire size is still the same between Street and standard, namely 80/100 at the front and 100/90 at the rear, using 17 inch rims.

Apart from that, there are other changes when compared, such as seat height, motorbike height from the ground, and axle length. It’s just not explained in detail whether there are other changes to the frame.

Then, you can also see that on the Street model there are several differences, such as many components being painted black. So it’s different from the standard one, where there are still components that use chrome.

The engine is still the same, 177cc with liquid cooling, producing 13 TK and 13.2 Nm of torque. The headlights are still halogen, the instruments still use needles with a small LCD screen.

The W175 Street in India costs 135,000 Rupees or the equivalent of IDR 25.2 million.

In Indonesia, there is already news that Kawasaki Motor Indonesia wants to update the W175. It’s just a rumor, there’s no confirmation as to what it is.

“It’s not a facelift, more like just an additional type. “There is a plan, it’s just still being discussed,” said Michael C. Tanadhi, Head of Sales & Promotion at PT KMI, to Kompas.com some time ago.

So, let’s just wait and see what the W175 will be like when it comes to Indonesia. It could be that as an opening, we will also launch a Street version with alloy rims.
