After a longer musical break, the talented group “Kautkaili” has returned with a new song “Lauj man”, announcing their debut album, which will be released on November 24. The group will celebrate the release of the album with a concert in “M/Darbnīcė”.
The group “Kautkaili” consists of Kristīne Pāže, Didzis Bardo and Krists Krūskops, its music combines Latvian alternative pop music of the 90s and worldly soul music with Kristīne’s velvety voice on the trumpet.
Kristīne Pāže, the soloist of the band and the author of the song’s lyrics, says about the song “Liauj man”: “Stereotypes and misleading expectations created by the surrounding society served as inspiration for this musically sunny song about the not-so-sunny human nature. Sometimes there is a desire to go against the grain and break out of the usual, exaggerated bubble of ‘everything is great for me’, thus allowing yourself the full range of emotions.” The song is accompanied by a video clip created by Artūrs Rudavs and Alfred Sebris.
On November 24, the group will release their debut album, “Kāda āsna”. “This album will be a post-therapeutic story of observing relationships – about ourselves, fellow human beings and us as a society, inviting us to explore and accept our depths. The stories of the songs, which have lived in our minds for quite a long time, are eagerly waiting to be passed on to our listeners,” said Kristīne.
