“Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is getting a second season.

The reality documentary “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is a huge success for Netflix in the German-speaking world. Despite numerous negative reviews, the streaming service has announced a second season. The Tokio Hotel twins and their fans are thrilled.

The success story of twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz continues: Netflix has announced that their reality documentary “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is going into a second season.

In an Instagram clip posted from sunny Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, the Kaulitz brothers personally announced that production for the new season has already begun. However, fans will have to wait until 2025 to see new glamorous and exciting stories about the mismatched twins.

Tokio Hotel singer Bill and guitarist Tom have been living in the Hollywood Hills for several years, where they are expanding their empire as musicians, podcasters and entertainers. With “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” they gave their fans a deep insight into their private lives for the first time. The production crew accompanied the 34-year-olds for eight months and showed their varied lives in eight episodes, including international careers, family life, the Tokio Hotel tour bus, parties, dramas, flirtations and a roadshow through the USA. Friends, colleagues and Tom Kaulitz’s wife, Heidi Klum, also had their say.

What viewers can expect in the second season remains to be seen. Will Cologne’s Christopher Street Day, where Bill Kaulitz kissed an actor, be mentioned? Or will “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” address the flooding of his luxurious house in Los Angeles, which forced him to temporarily move out?

The first season, which has topped the German Netflix charts since its release in June, has been met with enthusiasm in many places. However, there has also been criticism, particularly in English-speaking media. The British daily newspaper “Telegraph” criticized the brothers’ lack of fame: “The documentary doesn’t want us to notice this, so there is a tragically comic episode in which the brothers hire six bodyguards to accompany them to the Oktoberfest in Munich.” The “Telegraph” described the documentary series as “empty of content”. But that probably won’t bother the twins, because their success speaks for itself.

Netflix’s announcement that the reality documentary “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is going into a second season is exciting news for its loyal fans. Despite the mixed reviews it received in some English-speaking media, Netflix seems to believe in the twin singers’ story and continues to support their intimate series.
