Juris Kaukulis, the leader of “Iron Wolf”, will focus on solo work in parallel with his activities in the group – a new song “Ticket to Yesterday” has just been released, as well as a small tour “Rock Concert Solo” in Latvian cities has been announced.
The next concerts of Juris Kaukulis will take place on March 19 at Skriveri Culture Center, on April 8 in Kuldiga, at Bangert’s, and on April 21 at the Hanseatic Platform, but the concert schedule will be updated.
Juris Kaukulis’ solo concerts will feature songs and melodies for various guitars, electronics and voice, including the musician’s well-known and lesser-known compositions from various stages of “Iron Wolf” art, songs from theater performances in their original sound – close to alone, with only a guitar and voice at hand, as well as new songs. “Recently – in days, weeks, months, also in the isolation of a pandemic, songs written earlier in my garage studio have been transformed and overgrown with unexpected details. New stories have also sparked, written at a time when concerts and meetings with other musicians could not take place – a time that, between silences on stage, became a fruitful moment for new discoveries in music. More and more often I am happy to respond to calls to show it all in the form of a solo performance, as close as possible to the listeners, ”says Juris Kaukulis.
