Kaufland Withdraws Salmonella-Contaminated Eggs from Sale

The Kaufland chain informed today (July 5) about the withdrawal from sale of a specific batch of eggs from a farm in Lower Silesia. The health department found the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis in them. If you have this product at home – absolutely do not consume it!

The German supermarket chain Kaufland, informed on July 5 in the afternoon that, in agreement with the manufacturer and to ensure consumer protection, as part of preventive measures, it withdraws the following product from sale:

During the tests carried out by the State Sanitary Inspection, the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis bacilli was found, therefore it is not recommended to eat or process the eggs in question. Ingestion of these eggs can lead to nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, the network reports.

The product has already been withdrawn from sale. The product can be returned at any Kaufland store, also without showing the receipt, receiving a refund for the purchase.
