A few days ago, the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Service reported that it had found a good portion of ergot alkaloids in organic pasta sold under its brand. And the customers barely had time to react to it, another case is already here.

And it is again a product sold under the private label of Classic. This time it’s a really popular piece because it’s a minty herbal tea that sells really big this time of year. Almost everyone buys it, and since this one is also affordable, it is doubly true.

The maximum limit for the content of contaminating substances – pyrrolizidine alkaloids was exceeded in the food,she stated in addition, the State Agricultural and Food Inspection. So once again, alkaloids appeared in the food sold in Kaufland, which was also produced for him. Chance? Probably yes, but very disturbing.

Don’t drink tea

More specifically, it is the product K Classic Peppermint herbal tea, sold in the form of tea bags in a paper box covered with foil. The weight of the product is 56.25 grams and the minimum shelf life date is then May 2025.

So if you have bought a large amount of tea and haven’t had time to consume it yet, you should get rid of it as soon as possible. But do not drink them under any circumstances. Let’s also add that the manufacturer of the product is the Polish company Mokate.
