When she then sold less than a tenth of what she sold with her album Prism (2013) from her new album Witness, she says that she almost ‘jumped’.

entertainment">It was her first backlash in an otherwise glorious career. “My career was on this track that kept going up, up and up and then I had that little shift in it. Not that big from an outsider’s perspective. But for me it was huge. I had given so much of myself and it literally broke me. And then I would have broken up with my friend, who is now the father of my child. ”

entertainment">Even when the first success came again, it didn’t make Katy Perry as happy as she had thought and she collapsed again. She believes her faith has helped her recover. In retrospect, she sees the slump positively. “It was so important to me to be broken so that I could find my healing in a completely different way. And could be more than just living the pop star’s hungry life. Gratitude has been my salvation, had I not discovered it, I would probably have wallowed in my depression and probably just jumped. When the going gets tough, I walk around and tell myself I’m grateful, even when I’m in a terrible mood. ”
