Jakarta

Water discharge in Katulampa Dam in Bogor it increased to 100 cm or standby III. BPBD DKI Jakarta reminds residents to be aware of flood.

BPBD DKI Jakarta conveys flood alert information on its official Twitter account, Sunday (26/2/2023). At around 22:21 WIB the Katulampa Dam was on standby III.

“Residents along the riverbanks are advised to be vigilant and careful about the danger of flooding,” said the DKI Jakarta BPBD official.

As is known, the rains flushed the Puncak area, Bogor, causing the Ciliwung River’s water discharge to increase. The water level (TMA) of the Ciliwung River in the Katulampa Dam in Bogor tonight has reached 100 centimeters and is on alert III status.

“TMA Ciliwung as of 22.21 WIB is 100 centimeters, the alert status is 3 floods,” said Bogor Katulampa Dam guard Andi Sudirman, Sunday (26/2) evening.

The water debit flowing downstream in Jakarta is estimated to reach 138,129 liters/second. The volume of water flowing into the Ciliwung River has not been increased by rains that occur in the middle area of the Ciliwung River.

“TMA 100 centimeters means the water discharge reaches 138,129 liters/second. Not to mention adding it from the central region, because the rain is evenly distributed tonight,” said Andi.

Andi said the increase in the Ciliwung River discharge was due to rain that has been flushing the Puncak area, Bogor, from this afternoon until tonight. The Bogor Puncak area is the headwaters of the Ciliwung River.

“(Increased Ciliwung River water discharge) due to rain in Puncak from this afternoon until tonight,” said Andi.

“Tonight (the weather in Puncak) is still drizzling,” he added.
