Katrīna Sauliete’s Roman Catholic Wedding Ceremony in Riga’s St. Mary Magdalene Church

The marriage ceremony took place in the Roman Catholic church of St. Mary Magdalene in Riga, which is special for Katrīna, because as a child, living in Old Riga, she both spent time there and was baptized.

Bishop Andris Kravalis presided over the ceremony, blessing the new couple at this important moment. At the emotional moment of the bride’s entrance, Mick Dukurs performed the song “Tev”.

Closest friends and relatives participated in the wedding ceremony: a total of 70 guests, including Katrīna’s cousin, the captain of the Latvian men’s ice hockey team, Kaspars Daugaviņš.

After the ceremony, the guests were received in the church garden, where there was a congratulation and a joint photo session. Later in the day, the guests went to the wedding venue “Svetku pils”, where they were entertained by actor and wedding leader Rihards Leper.
