Katja Schuurman believes that her ex Thijs Römer, with whom she had daughter Sammie, deserves a second chance. “He needs to be able to get on with his life. I also think he deserves that,” she told the weekly Story magazine recently.

“Jan, if you only knew what kind of mother I am to my daughters, how I strive and fight to do the best for my oldest daughter,” Katja writes , among other things, in the messages. “Then maybe it wouldn’t be appropriate to call me crazy. It’s sarcastic, simplistic and very rude.”
