Last year, Kathleen Osbourne (28) felt a bad kick in her thigh. Since she had already fought cancer twice, she was afraid it would come back.
An MRI scan confirmed the painful suspicion. In addition, it turned out that she was pregnant.
Kathleen from Cambridge, UK, was just 11 years old when she became seriously ill. A lump on his right leg turned out to be cancer. The 11-year-old had to remove most of the kneecap, but fortunately the cancer disappeared with the help of chemotherapy.
For 11 years she was cancer free, and during that time she had sons Hayden (9) and Leo (7). But in 2015, the cancer came back – this time in the lungs. Just a week after it was discovered, Kathleen was on chemotherapy again.

Healthy again
– Pediatric cancer usually returns within two to three years. Mine only came after 11 years. It is very rare, and that is the reason why they had to start treatment so quickly, she says.
But eight weeks before term, a new MRI scan showed lung cancer. Suddenly there was a rush.
– I thought I had eight weeks to prepare, instead I suddenly only had two days, she says.

Little Aida-May is today a healthy baby, despite the fact that life got off to a rough start. But Kathleen’s cancer cannot be cured.
– What is important now is to create as many memories as possible with the children. I do not know how much time I have left, whether it is months or years. If I have my best, I can die happy, she adds.
