Dear media representatives,
The Katharina-Heinroth elementary school, the Berlin German-Polish European School, celebrates its 25th anniversary on May 24, 2023. Dariusz Pawłoś, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, dr Torsten Kühne, State Secretary for School Construction and School Digitization and Kirstin Bauch, District Mayor of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, will give a greeting on this festive occasion. The event includes an evening of celebrations, which will also include the reopening of the school’s refurbished premises. The pupils, the educational staff and the alumni of the school will present a diverse stage program in which the dance ensemble “Krakowiacy” will perform, among others.
The European School looks back on 25 years of intercultural cooperation combined with a sophisticated language concept. Pupils had and have the opportunity to face their school life in bilingual German/Polish classes from the first grade up to the Abitur. As a primary school, the Katharina-Heinroth-Primary School forms the decisive foundation. The school is currently attended by around 640 students. The Robert-Jungk-Secondary School, also a state European school in Berlin with a German-Polish focus, builds on this as a secondary school.
The appointment takes place:
Wednesday, May 24, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m,
Katharina Heinroth Elementary School,
Munstersche Str. 16, 10709 Berlin.
