Previous fashion figures to have been creative directors of the sugar-free, calorie-free soft drink include designers Jean-Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs.
Moss rose to international fame in the 1990s as a supermodel. Back then, to launch the collaboration, she posed with a can of Diet Coke, wearing red lipstick and gloves to match its lettering.
Moss said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Diet Coca-Cola family – I love their past collaborations with such incredible names in fashion.”

“As creative director, I look forward to inspiring fans and celebrating the brand’s 40th birthday in style,” she said.
