In the early 90s, Kate Moss (48) known as a model and through her collaboration with Calvin Klein she quickly gained status as a fashion icon.
In 1992, when the British beauty was only 18 years old, she did an underwear advertisement for Calvin Klein together with Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg (51).
Moss posed topless in the black and white photos, and was pressed close to Wahlberg’s body in several of them.
“Everything about him”
At the time, “The Departed” star was already famous through the hip hop group “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch”, while Moss was still just a beginner in the industry.
Now the supermodel reveals that she has no particularly fond memories of when she and Wahlberg worked together.
– He was very macho and everything was about him. He had a great team around him. I was just a model, says the 48-year-old in the radio program Desert Island Discs, according to People.
When asked if Moss felt objectified, she replies as follows:
–
– Yes, completely. And vulnerable and afraid. I think they played on my vulnerability. I was quite young and innocent, so Calvin loved it.
Furthermore, the supermodel explains that she felt a “severe degree of anxiety” before the advertising job – which resulted in a doctor prescribing Valium for her.
– I didn’t feel well before the photoshoot. I couldn’t get out of bed for a week or two, she shares, according to the website.
Kate Moss has previously told Vanity Fair that she had a nervous breakdown when she had to work with Wahlberg on the Calvin Klein campaign. Two years ago he commented on himself on this statement.
– I never really had a problem with Kate, did I? I think maybe I was a little rough around the edges. That I did my own thing. Let’s just say I wasn’t particularly… talkative. But I have seen her afterwards and said hello. I think we saw each other at a concert here and there, and then we said hello and exchanged pleasantries, he told The Guardian.
